The end The Canon
Print
We are consumed with fear and suspicion,
and with distracted mind and frightened glances
we make plans in order to escape the certain
danger that menaces us so desperately.
But we are mistaken, this danger is not in our path;
the messages were false
or then, we did not hear, or did not understand them rightly
Another undreamed of calamity
falls on us, sudden and impetuous,
and unprepared ― there is no time now ― overwhelms us.
