[ Like a fine tailor ]Notes on poetics and ethics

Like a fine tailor who makes a suit that fits one man (perhaps two) brilliantly; and an overcoat that may fit two or three – so for me, my poems may be applicable, «to fit» one case (perhaps two, or three). This comparison is slightly derogatory (only superficially so); but I think it is accurate and consoling. If my poems do not have a general fit, they have a partial one. This is not a small thing. Their veracity is thus guaranteed.
